About the Department: Department of Physics and electronics is one of the active and largest This department has a bright tradition of result and placement. This department has been instrumental to produce scientists, researchers and honourable persons in the society. We provide students laboratories that are fully equipped with latest facilities and instruments so that they can gain knowledge and expertise by conducting experiments on, general physics, optics, thermal physics, microwaves, laser, electronics and microprocessor/microcontroller-based programming etc.

The Department was established with the establishment of the college in 1968 With undergraduate courses in physics. U.G. course in Electronics has started in the year 1985. Post graduate course in physics has started in the year 1991. First head of the department was Mr. G. Biradar.

Under this scheme guest lectures were arranged & a Minor Research Project is submitted to the UGC.

• Recently department has signed an international MOU with “GlebWataghin”Institute of Physics, State University of Campinas, Brazil to provide opportunity on research based project work , exchange of research ideas & development of joint research projects.

• Jadhav D.R ( Lab Attendant) from our department has got “Best Non- Teaching Employee Award ” at S.R.T.M.U Level.
