  • Recently department has organized and started from June 2012 UGC sponsored six Month Carrier Oriented Course on ‘Vermiculture’ for U.G students of B.A, B.Com, B.Sc.
  • The department organized excursion or study tour to various zoological places to study Improving observation skills and a better understanding of the processes that contributed to the development of environmental features.

Any Other  SWOS Analysis and future planStrengths: Good number of participation in national conference, coc vermiculture,P.G. department, Eco-friendly practical’s on field visit by arranging study tour to different zoological places, good academic result, to motivate research vision in students ,projects, field work and collection, efficient,Dedicated, punctual, and quality faculty, students allow to be in contacts with the teacher all time, emotional bond between teacher and the students, audio visual aids like ppt projectors, computers used efficiently.

Weaknesses: Lack of recognized research centre, lack of departmental library, due to retirement of parent faculty in 2009 it was pause condition.


Opportunities: Head of department is recognized research supervisor of parent university if given as opportunity a good research center can be run, similarly other two faculties of department has opportunity to be a research supervisor to apply and to complete projects funded by UGC or DST

Challenges: To motivate collaborative research by starting research center, to collect and construct, a zoological museum, zoo biodiversity, of Marathwada region.

Future plans:

  • To establish well equipped research laboratory.To Start Research Center.To Apply and complete the research Projects.Maximum use of digital technology to meet the needs of students in understanding the Biodiversity and anatomy of Founa.
  • Students participated in science quiz competition.
  • Department Faculty cooperated in Blood Donation camp, organizing different awareness programme for students.

  • Departmental study tour to Kolhapur, Goa, Ratnagiri etc.
  • Departmental study tour to Fishery Science College of Udgir.
  • Educational tour to Shelki dam.
  •  Educational Tour to Karadkhel fishery farm.
